Mr. Rigano is an environmental lawyer primarily concentrating his practice on issues relating to drinking water and subsurface contamination. He is the Chair of the Environmental Law Committee for the Nassau County Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Water Quality Committee for the New York State Bar Association. He is also the co-founder of the Environmental Professionals Association, a networking group of professionals in the environmental field. He served on the Environmental Advisory Board for the Village of Garden City. He resides in Garden City with his wife and three children.
Middle School students, High School students and residents are encouraged to attend this important presentation which impacts us all. You will learn where our drinking water comes from, how contaminants enter and are removed from the water supply, details regarding emerging contaminants such as 1,4-dioxane, PFOA, and PFOS, and potential alternatives to our drinking water supply. This presentation will be highly educational and serve as a great resource for science research projects.
